Hostia Laudis is a complete collection of English-language propers for Sundays, set to plainsong melodies newly composed by Richard Rice. It includes settings of the entrance and communion antiphons as given in the Roman Missal and the responsorial psalms and gospel verses as in the Lectionary for Mass. Offertory antiphons are also provided, with translations adapted by the composer from traditional sources. The entrance and communion antiphons are given verses from the Abbey Psalms and Canticles, pointed for chanting to the traditional psalm tones. This collection also includes propers for major feasts and solemnities, Matrimony, Confirmation, and Masses for the Dead.
